I am a sales rep at Smith and I am hoping I can address your concern. The reason for the 30 second delay is to be CP-01 compliant, I have placed a web link at the bottom if you want to read over it.
The delay is only when you arm your system for "away" mode. When you arm if for away mode and leave the house, of course it would be impossible to exit the premises without triggering a false alarm if there was no delay.
When you arm your home for "stay" mode then yes, the perimeter will be armed immediately. As far as response time, when the siren goes off we average 13 seconds to call you. I hope this clears everything up.
I don't know whom I am speaking with or what system you have in your home but please email me sgarey@***.com and I will do my best to rectify it. Thank you again for your business

Smith Monitoring only services Texas. You are commenting from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. So you're either confused with another company or you're lying.
First the consumers should not trust the complaints blindly. They should investigate the facts for themselves.
Second, I live in Houston, Tx. Third, you the anonymouser must be working for Smith monitoring itself who is trying to throw off the scents.
